For your viewing pleasure and amazemen, I present you with a pristine l, all original Merlin Long neck five string banjo. Merlin Banjo Company was a Chicago outfit , making banjos for a brief period of time between 1964 to 1966. No trees were harmed in the production of their banjos, as no wood components were utilized. All of the components that are not aluminum are a form of space age plastic. The rims were made of Fiberglass.Original heavy skin head. 100-140 units consisting of four different styles were produced. Famously played by the legendary Tommy Makem, of the renowned Irish folk group, the Clancy Brothers. The musicality of this instrument is undeniable and surprisingly impressive.
