H.C. Dobson Parlor Banjo ca 1880

Price: $600.00 USD

This antique Dobson banjo was purchased by my father in the 1970's from an estate sale just south of Yellowstone Park. It has a 9" head and, as far as I know, everything is original except for two head bolts (see photo). The fifth string tuner is a friction peg. There is some wear damage to the neck in the first two frets. Everything else is in pretty good shape for its age. The name "Gayle" has been scratched into the head of the neck (see photo).
