Ome Triple Gold Plated Gun Metal Engraved Artist Millennium Five String Banjo Circa 2003 - Mapl

Price: $8,475.00 USD

For your consideration is the most elegant, ornate, mind bending, OME ARTIST MILLENNIUM Five String Banjo, I have had the pleasure to own. Feast your eyes on the lush photos and imagine having it in your hands. The tone is magnificent and the artistry is simply beyond belief. The profusely Gun Metal engraved triple gold plated hardware is a rare pattern that OME used and is singularly unique. It is the quintessential example of pure elegance. The machine heads are engraved with Mother of Pearl buttons. The engraved Abalone and Pearl inlays in the neck are of the highest level of artistry that I’ve ever seen and I’ve owned a half dozen OME presentation banjos. No company throughout the history of the banjo has ever attained the level of artistry that OME achieved. As the founder’s daughter, Tammy Ogsbury is fond of saying, “it is playable jewelry “ As I am writing this description, I am already having seller’s remorse and I haven’t even published the listing yet. OME was sold to GOLDTONE and these presentation treasures will never be made again. If OME made this today it would carry a list price if $15,000. The tone ring used in this banjo has is nothing short of miraculous in terms of the angelic tone it produces. It simply does not get any better than this. Twenty years from now this banjo will be worth $25,000 and is a true lifetime heirloom instrument. HSC
