Gold Tone Tubaphone with BC 350+ Neck
Price: $1,200.00 USD
So I wanted a Tubaphone but love the wider but widths on Bob Carlin Models. So I collected all the parts and put this beauty together. All that collecting and work to find out I am totally satisfied with my Whyte Laydie and my Dobson tone rings banjos. Only issues I can see is I had to glue down a section of the headstock emblem but you can tell it was repaired easily. Also there is a like a little touch of something on the bottom ring of the banjo. I think it would come off with some glue be gone but I am too chicken crap to try that and mess up the finish. The neck has lovely tiger stripes on the back. It has the high end Gold Tone Tuners. A Hoyt Banjo Walnut armrest. And a Hawktail tailpiece. It also has railroad spikes done by Gold Tone at the 7,9, and 10th frets. It also has a Dotson Z 5/8" bridge with Crow Spacing for ease of drop thumbing. It is a great Banjo but not my preferred tone. It is a very well balanced tone and decently loud for an open back and has that deep rim that Gold Tone uses for the the Tubaphone rims.
