Custom Vintage Long Neck Banjo
Price: $750.00 USD
Here's a great vintage custom-built long neck banjo. Totally turn key; all set to play. I'm guessing it was built in the early 1970s since it looks like some of the early Deering banjos of that era. The three extra frets let you tune down to the key of E, which is great for singing (e.g. Pete Seeger or Johnny Cash). The multi-ply oak neck is solid, thick, and well-made. A nice addition to your banjo arsenal without having to break the bank on one of the super expensive ones. Professional set up by luthier Glenn Nelson at Mockingbird Music (Berlin, MA) so the action is set right for clawhammer playing.
This banjo has no case so I will let UPS pack it so it is insured and fully covered. This way is a little bit more expensive but, given the longer neck without a case, it seems the wise move. Local pickups around Boston are always great.
